Diagnose, the paid starting point

Business and Marketing Diagnostic

$1,990 CAD

Fixed, one-time, before tax. Delivered within two weeks.

Most projects go wrong because the wrong problem got solved quickly. The symptoms are loud; the cause is usually quieter. This is a fixed-scope engagement, completed within two weeks, that ends the guessing: a written diagnosis, three ranked priorities, and a recommended next scope with a price. It is a standalone piece of work, and the plan is yours to take anywhere.

Why we ask you to start here

Most people arrive with the fix already picked, a new brand, a new website, more posts. Sometimes that is right. Often it is not, and the honest version is worth saying: we can build you a beautiful brand and a fast site, and if the offer is not compelling enough, the price is wrong, or the enquiries are dying in the follow-up, none of it will move your numbers. You would have bought a better-looking version of the same problem.

Skipping the analysis is where the disappointment comes from. The work gets delivered exactly as scoped, it looks great, and six months later the phone still is not ringing, because nobody checked what was actually broken before the building started. Two weeks up front is the cheapest way to avoid spending six months and five figures on the wrong thing.

If you are about to make a real investment in your business, that decision deserves a senior team looking at the whole picture first: the offer, the pricing, the audience, the site, the follow-up, not just the piece you happened to notice.

You already know the fix

Good, the diagnostic either confirms it in writing, or saves you from the expensive version of a wrong hunch.

There may be issues you can't see

Pricing, positioning, response times and follow-up rarely announce themselves. They show up in a review of the whole funnel.

You're ready to invest

The bigger the spend, the more this analysis is worth. It sets the order of work and the number you should expect.

What it buys you

Cheaper than the wrong answer

Stop paying for guesses

Every skipped diagnostic becomes a line item somewhere else, the rebuild that didn't move enquiries, the ads that fed a broken follow-up. $1,990 is small next to the cost of being wrong for six months.

One priority order, in writing

You leave knowing what to fix first, second and third over the next 90 days, so your budget goes where the evidence points, not where the loudest symptom is.

A plan you own outright

The diagnosis, priorities and scoped recommendation are yours. Take them to us, to another team, or to your own people, the value doesn't depend on hiring us.

A real number before you commit

The recommendation arrives with a price, so your next decision is made with a figure on the table instead of a ballpark you hope holds.

What you get

  • A structured intake questionnaire, so the review starts from facts rather than assumptions
  • A review of your current brand, website, enquiry path and follow-up
  • A review of the analytics or performance information you supply
  • Identification of the primary business or marketing constraint
  • Three ranked priorities for the next 90 days
  • One 60-minute findings session
  • A concise written diagnostic and a recommended next scope
  • A starting price or budget range for the recommended next step

What it isn't

  • Implementation of any kind
  • Brand or website production
  • Campaign execution
  • Content production
  • Advertising management
  • CRM implementation
  • Unlimited stakeholder interviews
  • Review of unrelated business units or multiple brands
  • Ongoing advisory support

What we need from you

  • One decision-maker who can answer and decide
  • A completed intake questionnaire
  • Existing relevant documents you already hold
  • Timely access to the analytics we agree on, shared securely after the engagement is confirmed
  • Attendance at the findings session

The price, plainly

$1,990 CAD before tax. Delivered within two weeks.

One flat fee covers the full review, the written diagnosis, the working session and the scoped recommendation. No hourly meter, no surprise additions, if the question turns out to be bigger than the diagnostic, we tell you before anything else is spent, not after.

The Diagnostic is a standalone engagement. It is not a deposit, not a retainer and it is not automatically credited against future work, which is exactly why the recommendation can be smaller than the project we would rather sell you.

Start the Diagnostic

Tell us what needs deciding and when you would like to start. A person reviews every request and replies within two business days to confirm the start date by email. Nothing is confirmed automatically, and we do not ask for logins or analytics credentials here.

A preference, not a confirmed slot. We confirm the actual start date by email.

$1,990 CAD before tax. Invoiced by email, we don't take card payments on this site yet. Third-party costs like media, software and printing are quoted separately.

By sending this form you agree we may contact you about your enquiry. See our privacy notice for how we handle your information. We do not add you to any marketing list without your consent.

Why we charge for the diagnostic

A free proposal is a sales document. It has to guess at your numbers, flatter your current plan, and end with a recommendation to hire the person who wrote it. Paying for the diagnostic changes the incentive: our job is to find the real problem and tell you the cheapest credible way to fix it, even when that answer is smaller than the work we would rather sell.

Most engagements start here because it removes the expensive part of the guesswork. Instead of buying a website and hoping it fixes enquiries, you find out first whether the problem is the website, the message, the follow-up, the pricing or the audience. If the diagnostic shows you do not need us, you still keep the plan, and you have saved considerably more than $1,990.

What it answers

  • Which problem is actually costing you money right now
  • What to do first, second and third over the next 90 days
  • A realistic budget range for each of those steps
  • Which work you can do in-house and which needs a specialist
  • How you will know in eight weeks whether it worked

What it is not

  • Not a design project, nothing is built during the diagnostic
  • Not a retainer, and not a commitment to hire us afterwards
  • Not a 60-page audit nobody reads; it is short and specific
  • Not a review of another agency's proposal as free consulting
  • Not media, software, printing or production costs

The Diagnostic stands on its own. It is not credited against later work, and if the answer points somewhere other than us, we say so plainly and refer you on where we can.
